HRCI has partnered with the world-renowned online learning platform Coursera to launch the HRCI Human Resource Associate Professional Certificate. Available exclusively on Coursera, this 5-course certificate program was designed by HRCI educators and practitioners to prepare aspiring human resources professionals with a solid understanding of field fundamentals.
This self-paced, mobile-friendly program enables on-the-go access, providing learners with even greater flexibility to shape their educational journey. Through engaging videos, interactive activities, in-depth assessments, and peer-reviewed projects, ambitious learners can develop a strong human resources foundation, enhance their professional expertise and grow their career.
Upon certificate completion, learners will better understand how to:
Effectively recruit, select and onboard new employees
Foster a positive work culture and employee engagement
Understand and navigate legal and ethical considerations in human resources
Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with organizational goals

The new program from HRCI joins Coursera’s growing portfolio of entry-level certificates, which are designed for learners of all backgrounds—no college degree or prior industry experience required—to prepare for an in-demand career in just a few months. Entry-level certificates on Coursera have proven to be a particularly meaningful pathway to employment. According to Coursera’s 2023 Learner Outcomes Report, one in four certificate completers reported they got a new job.
