aPHRi Credential from HRCI Is Now Open for Application and Testing

Associate Professional in Human Resources - International (aPHRi) Recognizes Foundational Workforce Management Knowledge of HR and non-HR Practitioners Worldwide

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 17, 2018 - The Associate Professional in Human Resources International™ (aPHRi™), the newest credential from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®), has successfully completed pilot testing and is now available to all certification candidates.

The aPHRi awards certification to those who can demonstrate foundational understanding of HR and talent management principles that can be applied within an organization at any global location.

HRCI announced plans to add the aPHRi to its certification portfolio in November of 2017.

"It's the perfect certification for international students, non-HR managers and others who are just beginning their HR or people management career journey," said HRCI CEO Amy Schabacker Dufrane, Ed.D., SPHR, CAE. "The aPHRi gives the business community a well-rounded suite of eight HRCI credentials for various levels of HR practice and experience, both inside and outside of the U.S."

As a foundational certification, the aPHRi joins the Associate Professional in Human Resources™ (aPHR), a U.S.-based credential that requires demonstrated knowledge of applicable U.S. laws and regulations related to recruitment and selection such as non discrimination, accommodation and work authorization. HR professional-level and senior-level certifications - U.S-based and non-U.S. based - are also available from HRCI.

"The aPHRi exam content outline was created by a diverse panel of global HR professionals who participated in a rigorous practice analysis study," said Dania Eter, MBA, Chief of Global Certification Products for HRCI. "HRCI will work with HR experts to regularly update the aPHRi exams to ensure consistency with real-world HR and talent management practices."
