Accommodation Request

Requests for Special Accommodations

HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended, to accommodate candidates with disabilities who need special arrangements to take HRCI exams. HRCI will provide auxiliary aids and services except where they may fundamentally alter the exam or result in an undue burden.

If you need a special accommodation, mark the appropriate box on the online or paper application and submit the Special Testing Accommodation Request form. This form includes the Documentation of Disability-Related Needs by Qualified Professional section. A professional with a license or credential appropriate to diagnose and treat your disability must fill out that section. That professional must include the nature of the disability, identification of the test(s) and protocols used to confirm the diagnosis, a description of past accommodations made for the disability and the specific testing accommodations requested.

We may not be able to honor incomplete or late requests.

For Candidates Outside of the US

Prometric, the organization that administers HRCI exams, cannot comply with special accommodation requests made by candidates taking the exam outside of the United States, U.S. territories or Canada, where local operating conditions or local laws and customs render such requests unlawful, impossible or economically unfeasible to perform.

To cancel or reschedule an exam for which you've submitted a Special Testing Accommodation Request form, call Prometric at (800) 967-1139.
