InterconnectHR: Excitement Builds for HRCI Event in Dallas
InterconnectHR: Moving People and Business Forward, an event co-sponsored by HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) and Top Employers Institute, is next week. RSVPs have been rolling in and only a few spaces are left as human resource management leaders head Dallas, Texas, to network and hear how the C-suite seeks a new chapter of an HR that’s more aligned with business goals.
"HR work, in and of itself, is not value-added just because it’s HR work," says Monna Nevils, MBA, SPHR, CHRO of the Behavioral Health Group and one of the featured panelists at Interconnect HR. "In the past, there has been a great deal of busy HR work, but this hard work and 'busy-ness' will not get noticed unless it can be translated to the bottom line."
Panelists at the event will also include:
Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, will keynote Interconnect HR, providing his latest predictions about changing organizational structures and HR’s role. Bersin’s bold predictions for 2017 were recently features in Forbes.
Also featured will be remarks from HRCI CEO Amy Schabacker Dufrane, Ed.D., SPHR, CAE, and Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink. Addressing new HR challenges has always been the mission of HRCI and its partners to:
- Make people and organizations better.
- Reflect and support, through certifications and continuous professional development, what HR leaders are challenged to do, as well as what HR professionals aspire to be.
"We are entering a new era of business requiring contemporary HR capabilities and best practices that are highly linked to business performance," Dufrane says. "The new HR is a reliable business partner, an effective strategic counsellor and a contributing member of executive boardroom. This is HR’s time."
The event will be held February 16, 2017, 10:30 a.m. – 3:30, at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas. HRCI is still accepting attendees who RSVP for InterconnectHR on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can’t make the event, no worries. Stay tuned here for article coverage and video replays.
