InterconnectHR Event Puts HR in the Hot Seat to Move Business Forward
When Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, makes predictions about the future of organization structure, people listen. With his latest prognostications, Bersin puts human resource management leaders in the "hot seat" to make important "digital organization" transformations that may mean the difference between success or failure.
HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®), is pleased to announce that Bersin will keynote InterconnectHR: Moving People and Business Forward, an event cosponsored by HRCI and Top Employers Institute. The event is open to PHRs, SPHRs, and GPHRs and will be held February 16, 2017, 10:30 a.m. – 3:30, at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
HRCI is still accepting attendees who RSVP for InterconnectHR on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to Bersin, a panel of C-suite leaders will be on hand to further discuss why HR is a top business concern in 2017. Business leaders will also explore ways HR can help companies adopt to change and sustain competitive advantages through measurable HR initiatives.
Bersin’s predictions for 2017 were recently features in a Forbes article. Bersin notes that company leaders are in the process of reconfiguring companies into digital organizations that "empower people to use their skills and leverage their best capabilities, breaking down the traditional 'job description' and upward career model, using data and culture as tools to build alignment and coordination."
Deeply Understanding: 'What Makes Employees Crazy?'
New Bersin by Deloitte’s research makes several bold 2017 HR predictions and recommendations for HR and the organizations they serve to survive in the digital age, including:
- Break functional groups into smaller teams with more focus on customer-centric learning, experimentation and time-to-market.
- Carefully define organizational culture with rewards and aligned behaviors, including actions that are unseen.
- Use real-time feedback and analytics to measure and improve employee productivity.
- Embrace a new generation of performance management tools.
- Understand that HR is in the "hot seat” to redesign jobs, work and organizations to improve performance.
"Just as companies focus relentlessly on their customers and how their needs and expectations change, so should HR now focus on employees in a similar way," Bersin argues. Bersin says "it’s important to really understand what drives your employees crazy. We are instrumenting companies with pulse surveys and feedback tools, check-in’s, employee-curated learning platforms, and many other tools that help us get a total understanding of what makes employees happy and productive, so we can continuously make companies better places to work."
