Steve Peluso is an attorney in private practice. He is a recognized authority on personnel credentialing and the associated program accreditation standards. Mr. Peluso advises sponsors of personnel certification, licensure and certificate programs on a variety of legal and business issues. He has written and presented extensively on issues and topics related to personnel credentialing, intellectual property and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Peluso was General Counsel for Professional Examination Service and before that an Associate Counsel at the Chase Manhattan Bank. Prior to law school Mr. Peluso served as a Special Agent with the United States Naval Investigative Service (NCIS). He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University, Columbia Business School; a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University, School of Law; and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, College of Business and Public Administration.
Mr. Peluso serves in the following leadership and board positions:
Director, member of the Executive Committee and General Counsel – Central Park Medical Unit (CPMU) an all-volunteer ambulance service that provides emergency medical services in New York City’s Central Park.
Director – Trio A Segno of New York, Inc. Founded in 1888 Trio A Segno is a private club and the oldest Italian heritage organization in the United States.
Past Chair – American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC) the ANSI committee responsible for accreditation under ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024. (Member 2009-2017; Chair 2015-2017)
Mr. Peluso is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut and is a New York State certified Emergency Medical Technician.
