We recently held an invitation-only event at which HR leaders joined in a discussion about how HR can gain the respect of the C-suite, how HR affects the business strategy of every company and how HR can be instrumental in the way executives view the HR function. Facilitated by Seth Kahan, CEO of Visionary Leadership and author of Washington Post bestseller Getting Change Right: How Leaders Transform their Organizations from the Inside Out, the event was attended by 75 HR leaders who heard from Holly Kortright, senior vice president of HR for Deltek, Bridget Atkinson, chief human capital officer for GTSI, and Janice Bogash, deputy director of human resources for The Pew Charitable Trust, and participated in several discussions about how they help their companies achieve competitive excellence.
