Dear Certified Colleague:
HRCI celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style during the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition held in Washington, DC in June. From the podium, in the conference program and at the HRCI Hideaway and exhibit booth, the Institute’s solid past and bright future were acknowledged and saluted. The celebration’s highlight was a gala reception attended by current and past leaders and staff of HRCI, SHRM and the SHRM Foundation.
At this special event, HRCI announced its 2006 record $1.5 million donation to the SHRM Foundation. The Institute is proud to support the Foundation’s cutting-edge research, strategic studies and educational scholarships—all of which assist human resource professionals in sharing and applying best HR practices. HRCI has donated more than $11 million to the Foundation since our contributions began in 1992.
As our year of celebration continues, I invite each certified professional to renew your commitment to professional advancement through HRCI certification. Each of us has a role to play in “living” the value of certification, mentoring non-certified colleagues and attaining the next level of excellence. Together, we continue to prove that HRCI provides a “professional edge” for our profession and for our organizations.
