Q. If I have registered to take a certification exam at one of the test sites in the regions affected by the hurricanes, am I able to reschedule without penalty?
A. Yes, as long as you reschedule within the same testing window at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled exam date, you can reschedule without penalty. Because there have been some site closures in the affected areas, other locations in the surrounding region have extended their hours and days of operation to accommodate the additional volume of candidates. Q. Are there any test centers in the regions affected by the hurricanes that are closed?
A. Yes, there are two sites that are closed for an undetermined amount of time. Those are in Metairie, LA and in Beaumont, TX.

Q. What am I supposed to do if my recertification is due in December 2005 and I am in one of the regions affected by the hurricanes, but will be unable to submit my recertification in time due to the hardship that the hurricane has caused?
A. HRCI will be granting a six-month extension without penalty of late fees to those individuals who have been directly affected by the hurricanes. We do ask that affected individuals request an extension in writing prior to the end of December 2005.
