You’re in Good Company!
There are currently 92,854 actively certified PHR, SPHR and GPHR professionals. In addition, 193 have achieved the California certification, which was launched in April 2007.
“Everyday” Recertification
Think you have to take a lot of courses and attend tons of seminars to recertify? Think again! Explore options for earning recertification credits through activities that are part of your job and ongoing professional involvement.
California Recertification Tracking Online
If you hold the PHR-CA or SPHR-CA, you can now track your recertification credits online through the “My Recert File” feature. Find it on the home page at HRCI.org.
Find Approved Offerings with New Searchable Directory
In early 2005, HRCI launched the online recertification database, which allows certificants to track their recertification credits as they are accumulated. Feedback about the system has been overwhelming positive. In our efforts to make the recertification process as easy as possible, HRCI is now pleased to announce our new searchable directory of pre-approved recertification activities.
Sign On as an HRCI Volunteer
The prestige of HRCI certification depends on volunteers who write and review items, review exam forms and take the lead on the HRCI Board of Directors. Use the volunteer application in “My Recert File” to share (and update) your knowledge and experience.
Wanted: HRCI Board Members
The HRCI Governance Council of the HRCI Board is specifically seeking two types of candidates for openings on the 2009 HRCI Board of Directors. One need is for an experienced PHR-certified board member to ensure that the interests of this segment of our certificants are represented. The other is for a board member with international experience not filtered solely through a U.S. lens. As noted in the previous paragraph, please make your interest known through the volunteer portion of “My Recert File.” Deadline to be considered for the 2009 Board openings is April 13.
HRCI Hits the Road
HRCI is reaching out at a variety of HR conferences in the coming months. Through exhibits and presentations, we’re putting the PHR, SPHR, GPHR and California certifications in the spotlight. Look for us at these upcoming events.
