During the one-hour Virtual Counselor sessions, HRCI staff members review and answer as many questions as time allows. Once the live session is finished, staff respond to the remaining questions and include those answers with the rest of the transcript.

The full transcript is then posted online–allowing everyone else to scan for answers to questions that parallel their own.

A Trio of Counselors
There are three types of sessions–Virtual Recertification Counselor, Virtual Strategic Management Counselor (focusing on this aspect of SPHR recertification) and Virtual Certification Counselor (for those not yet certified).

Virtual Counselor sessions are scheduled for the remainder of 2007 as follows.

Virtual Recertification Counselor (last Wednesday of month)
12:00 noon — 1:00 pm eastern time
Wednesday, October 31
Wednesday, December 19

Virtual Strategic Management Counselor (last Wednesday of month)
12:00 noon — 1:00 pm eastern time
Wednesday, November 28

Virtual Certification Counselor (first Tuesday of month)
12:00 noon — 1:00 pm eastern time
Tuesday, November 6

To participate in a Virtual Counselor session, log on to the home page of HRCI.org on the day of the session. Instructions will be posted there.
