HRCI is adjusting its organizational structure to take better advantage of strategic and operational opportunities. Recognizing the Institute’s success and growth over the last decade, a new Operations Director position has been created to reduce the Executive Director’s range of responsibility.
Cornelia Springer, CAE, has been named the new Operations Director. Cornelia joined the HRCI staff in 1990 and has served as its director for the past nine years. In her new position, she will continue to direct the development and implementation of staff and vendor services in the areas of certification, testing, recertification and approved provider programs.
Mary E. Power, CAE, has been named the HRCI Executive Director and will begin on August 27. As Executive Director, she will focus on strategic planning, international development opportunities, partnering with SHRM and external partners, and elevating HRCI’s public image. Mary most recently was the president and CEO of the Convention Industry Council, where she championed the development and implementation of voluntary standards, as well as the growth and global expansion of a voluntary certification program. She has a proven record in international development, strategic planning, marketing and communication.
