Dear Certified Colleague:
National Volunteer Week, April 15-21, shines the spotlight on the vitality and expertise volunteers bring to our nation’s nonprofit organizations. HRCI is no exception! The PHR, SPHR, GPHR and PHR-CA/SPHR-CA certifications are possible and respected only because professionals like you are willing to create, validate and support the process.
HRCI leadership does its best to thank our volunteers throughout the year. Recently the HRCI Board of Directors and staff members saluted GPHR item writers and item reviewers with a reception during the Global Forum Conference in mid-March. This issue of Certified Mail includes thanks to all the volunteers currently serving on HRCI’s four item writing panels, three item review panels and two exam forms review panels. The issue also highlights opportunities to serve the profession through the GPHR practice analysis study, the 2008 Board of Directors and as an advocate for certification among your colleagues.
We look forward to identifying additional qualified volunteers through the new volunteer module, which is accessible by logging into your recertification file at “My Recert File” on HRCI.org. Should you have an interest in serving in a volunteer capacity on one of our item writing panels or on the HRCI Board, you may complete an application, which will add your information to our database of HR professionals for future consideration.
Together, we continually build the value of the PHR, SPHR, GPHR and PHR-CA/SPHR-CA certifications to professionals, employers and the profession.
